Innovative Learning Networking
Arizona's Learning Innovators mixin-it-up at GAZeL's AfterHours Networking
GAZeL’s Innovative Learning Collaborative will provide Arizona's Learning Innovators in education business, government, and nonprofit organizations opportunities to mix-it-up at AfterHours festivities happening simultaneously, same day and time in Tucson, Phoenix, and other sites in the state, all connected with live video conference links.
The Agenda for Arizona's premier Innovative Learning networking experience for consumers and providers of Innovative Learning technologies and services is simple, refreshments, brief innovative learning presentations originating from one or more locations, announcements, requests for help and, of course, networking, networking and more networking. These informal After Hours networking opportunities, from 5:30-7:30 pm, will be hosted at local Innovative Learning or related companies, education institutions or nonprofit organizations. The hosts will be asked to provide a facility and refreshments.
Why You Want To mix-it-up
Local Community Collaboratives
The Collaborative will develop local community collaboratives in Tucson, Phoenix and other sites around the state in sync with the statewide collaborative. This will enable education innovators to network and collaborate in their local communities, but be a part of the statewide Collaborative. Local Leadership Teams will be recruited.

Notes - The Past and the Future
Previously GAZeL experimented with an innovative approach to networking, hosting networking events simultaneously, same day and time, in Tucson, Phoenix, and other sites in the state, all connected with live video conference links. The focus has been on eLearning. With the creation of the the Innovative Learning Collaborative the tentative plan is to expand that concept with the following changes:
- Emphasize Innovative Learning rather than eLearning
- Select sites and stay at one location in each city for maybe six months (rather that moving locations each month as we had been doing) enabling us to set a regular date and location well in advance.
- Feature brief Innovative Learning presentations originating from one or more locations in or out of state
- Have themed sessions such as K-12, higher education, games, virtual labs competency based education, etc.
